The treatment of addiction and depression has complications that can sometimes murky the water of clear and adaptive interventions. This presentation will explore complications of treating both underlying depression as well as substance use disorder while providing practical and resourceful skills for professionals to utilize no matter what level of care you work. The presentation will incorporate learnings around how to assess for and treatment suicidality while also identifying two to three treatment objectives and interventions at each level of care (detox, residential, PHP, IOP, OP).
Webinar objectives:
- Identify different symptoms of depression and impact on therapeutic effectiveness at different levels of care
- Review client suicidal experiences (cognitive, emotional, behavioral) at different levels of care
- Discuss C-SSRS as a tool to utilize for SI and treatment planning
- Discuss appropriate interventions surrounding depression at different levels of care
