The Therapeutic Relationship: How Movement & Connection Drive Effective Therapy Results

With Susan Wolfson, L.C.S.W., C.A.A.D.C. | October 26, 2014 12:00AM CDT

Many, if not most, problems or concerns that people have when they seek therapy fall into the broad category of feeling stuck and/or isolated. The answer, then to these problems, is movement and connection. In this webinar I will talk about how clinicians are able to speed up the process of eliminating disturbing emotions by using mindfulness meditation and other forms of heightened awareness. If, as Dan Siegel has proposed, optimal health may be defined as FACES (flexible, adaptive, coherent, energized and stable), then the therapeutic techniques which aim toward movement and connection and help to establish a lasting clarity and focus, are vital to the therapeutic process.
